Privacy Policy — Wanderfish
Last updated: 15 September 2026 · Leer en español
Wanderfish ("Wanderfish", "the Game", "we", "us" or "our") is a cozy fishing and collection game for mobile devices, developed and published by Iluora. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Game collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.
The short version: the Game does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, camera or microphone. It uses a random player identifier so your progress can be saved in the cloud, and anonymous gameplay statistics that help us improve the Game. You can turn the statistics off at any time.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
Iluora is the data controller for the information described in this
policy.

2. What information we collect
2.1 Player account
- When you first open the Game, an anonymous player account is created automatically. It is identified by a random player ID that is not linked to your real identity.
- If you choose to link your save to Google Play Games (optional, from Options), we receive an identifier for that account so your progress can follow you to a new device. We do not receive your Google password.
2.2 Game progress (cloud save)
- Your game save: the fish you have caught and kept, your aquarium and its decoration, coins, bait, levels, missions, achievements, the names you give your fish, and the purchases you have made (product and transaction identifiers, so they can be restored).
- It is stored on your device and synced to the cloud so it is not lost.
2.3 Friends and public profile
- If you use the friends feature, you choose a player name. Other players can see that name, send you friend requests and see your aquarium card: the fish in your aquarium (species, size and the names you gave them), its decoration and a few game statistics (for example species caught or races won).
- Visiting another player's aquarium is read-only. There is no chat and no trading between players.
- Player names and fish names are passed through an automatic filter to block offensive words. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as your player name or as a fish name.
2.4 Gameplay statistics (analytics)
- Events about how the Game is played, such as reaching a level, entering a zone, a first catch, running out of bait or the length of a session.
- Technical information collected automatically by our analytics provider: device model, operating system and version, language, app version, approximate country or region (derived from the IP address), and session start and end times.
- You can turn analytics off in Options → Analytics. When you do, the Game stops sending statistics and asks our provider to delete the statistics already collected for your player ID.
2.5 Advertising
- The Game offers optional rewarded ads: an ad is only shown when you tap a button to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward. Ads never interrupt play.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device information and ad interaction data to deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud.
- Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change that choice later. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.
2.6 Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. We only receive a purchase receipt, which the Game checks to confirm that the purchase is genuine before delivering it.
2.7 What stays on your device
- Notifications (for example "your bait is ready") are scheduled locally on your device. No data is sent to us to deliver them, and each one can be switched off in Options.
- Photos of your aquarium are saved in the Game's private storage and are only shared if you choose to share them.
- Your settings (language, sound, hemisphere) are stored on your device.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos from your gallery, or audio. We do not sell your data.
3. How we use the information
- To save your progress and restore it on a new device.
- To run the friends feature and show your aquarium card to other players.
- To deliver and restore your purchases.
- To show the rewarded ads you choose to watch.
- To understand how the Game is played and adjust its balance and difficulty (for example, where players get stuck).
- To keep the Game secure and fix problems.
4. Service providers
We rely on the following providers to operate the Game. Each processes data only as needed to deliver its service:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services) | Player account, cloud save, friends, remote game settings and analytics | Player ID, game save, player name and aquarium card, gameplay events, device information, IP address |
| Google (Google Play, Google Play Games) | App distribution, in-app purchases and optional account linking | Purchase receipts, Google Play Games account identifier |
| Google (AdMob) | Optional rewarded ads | Advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions |

5. Legal basis (EEA and UK players)
- Performance of our agreement with you: player account, cloud save, friends and purchases, which are needed to provide the Game.
- Legitimate interest: gameplay statistics to improve the Game, which you can turn off at any time.
- Consent: personalized advertising, where required.
6. Data retention and deletion
- We keep your game save and player account for as long as you play.
- Turning analytics off in Options stops collection and requests the deletion of the statistics already collected.
- To delete your player account, cloud save and public profile, follow the steps on the account deletion page (in short: email support@iluora.com with your player name or a purchase order number). We will confirm the deletion within 30 days.
- Uninstalling the Game removes the data stored on your device.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@iluora.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Children
Wanderfish is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by the providers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know inside the Game.
